Celabor Strengthens Its Position in European Agri-Food Biotechnology through the EU Agri-Food Biotech Alliance (EIT Food)
This is the driving force behind the EU Agri-Food Biotech Alliance, coordinated by EIT Food, which brings together more than 120 organisations from research, startups, industry, investment and public policy to help move biotechnology from scientific discovery to industrial deployment.
For the past few weeks, Celabor has been actively contributing to this dynamic initiative. Together with Wagralim, Celabor represents Wallonia on two of the Alliance’s strategic councils: the Collaborative Innovation Council (R&I roadmap, TRL 4–5) and the Ecosystem Engagement Council (open innovation, proof of concept and ecosystem activation, TRL 5–7).
This involvement builds on the work already undertaken by Celabor through PROTEWIN, a regional initiative dedicated to developing the Walloon ecosystem for plant-based and alternative proteins through biotechnology. This initiative has now been expanded to the European level, contributing to the roadmap towards a future Joint Undertaking.
