Equipment
Materials & Textiles Platform
The CELABOR Materials Department platform brings together a highly advanced technology park dedicated to the characterization, testing, and development of materials for the paper-cardboard, packaging, and textile sectors. Thanks to state-of-the-art analytical and testing equipment, this platform offers industrial clients reliable and innovative tools to meet their most demanding technical requirements.
For paper and cardboard, we have equipment to measure various physical, mechanical, chemical, and optical parameters, perform resistance tests, and conduct specific tests according to standardized methods (ISO, ASTM, etc.).
In the field of packaging, we have several Mocon permeameters to measure gas and water vapor permeability on films or finished packaging. We also conduct mechanical tests (tensile, compression, puncture resistance), surface property analyses, leak testing, and food contact suitability measurements. The platform is also equipped with specialized pilot machines (thermoformer, sealer, gas mixer, vacuum sealer, etc.) to perform on-demand packaging tests on small batches to validate solutions between the product to be packaged and the packaging.
Strongly involved in the theme of recyclability of cellulose-based packaging, we have a set of equipment to test the proper recyclability of packaging according to the CEPI protocol.
For textiles, our equipment enables physicochemical analyses of fabrics and garments made from natural and synthetic fibers, ageing and resistance tests, as well as morphological studies of natural fibers, powders, and particles (particle size distribution by image analysis), thus providing reliable data for the development of high-performance textile products that meet expectations. We also have a textile finishing laboratory, which enables us to develop textile treatments to improve the functional properties of products.
